I watched some of the Committee hearing yesterday. Pete came away a winner. That the Democrats on the committee were unable to form any questions of Defense Department policy either by design or sheer incompetence is telling. The harridan trio of Kirsten Gillibrand (NY), Elizabeth Warren (MA) and Mazie Hirono (HI), were particularly egregious.
Richard Blumenthal (CT), harping on financial responsibility was a prime example of psychological projection. Blumenthal a 14 year member of the Senate has seen the National Debt go from $14,790,340,328,557.15 to a current $34,552,162,118,847.90. Blumenthal has been an irresponsible member of the U.S. Congress that continues to spend government funds with no accountability.
