It has been great to see our elected officials of our Republic in action today in the Oval Office.
The public and social media responses are nothing short of what I expected. Responses are sharply divided on both sides of the political aisle.
The pulling back of the political curtain today was very much welcome given the more recent four years of politics in Washington D.C..
Since 2022 when the war began, I’ve been searching for a reasoned and articulate answer to why we as Americans should be supporting this war. The U.S. has contributed more than $100 Billion to the conflict with no transparency or accountability by the recipients of the taxpayers dollars.
Why are supporters of Ukraine happy with the hundred of thousands of deaths on both sides of the conflict and not desirous of bringing an end to the war and peace to the region?
Given today’s glimpses inside the Oval Office it’s not going to be a polite, Roberts Rules of Order discussion.
