Wait, what?

The government has been shut down for approximately one month now and this is what they’re voting on? Why are they even bothering the government is shut down. At this juncture the only thing the Senate ought to be voting on is whether or not to reopen the government, and they ought to continue to vote until such time as the government reopens. 

The only business the Senate should have on its adgenda  is to vote to reopen the government. Nothing more nothing less until such time is that occurs, this is the only thing they ought to be addressing.
