This is the first year in the ten years we’ve lived here that I’ve not heard any celebratory fireworks.  A very nice and quiet New Years Eve.

A new year and Online Travel Agents continue their same lack of customer service.

As a group, we appear to have lost our sense of human contact.  Those of us who mail and personally sign Christmas Cards fail to receive even a basic courtesy response to the mailing.

It might appear also that basic acknowledgement of electronic messaging is either ignored or is apparently lost in the ether and inter webs .

In the new year it’s amazing that banks are unable to figure out how to complete direct deposit transactions.  Do we really live in such a backwoodsrural community that this is an issue?
