A couple of weeks ago I briefly wrote about the lack of a quality voice to text app for those of us in the real world.

This morning I can add any customer service voice apps for when you’re calling a random big box store looking to resolve a  customer service issue.  I know I’ve had to deal with a voice prompt minion which is suppose to route me to the proper “live,” person to resolve my issue.

This morning, an associate of mine spent 5-7 minues emphatically stating his case to talk to a live person, with a less than adequate response from the big box voice menu.

It certainly appears that voice to text and voice recognition apps are still in their infancy and will need much more work prior to being ready for real world usage by anyone.
